Not sure this is a bug or not
So, I am trying to draft a guy as a scouting director. However, every time it comes up that he wants more money etc etc... it changes where I am trying to hire him for to assistant GM! Now I am stuck having to hire him as an A-GM because of this. I don't think the position where personal are being hired for should change when you are trying to negotiate because, why in the world would you want to change it?
Is this a bug or as intended?

I don't know if it's intended or not but I do know two things:
First, it is extremely annoying. Second, if it is intentional it shouldn't be. In that case, it's just an unseemly, unrealistic way to highjack the organization you are attempting to build. In what world would both sides not know the position being negotiated? It doesn't even have to be ongoing negotiations. Many, many times I've 'posted' the position being filled (and watched a lot of good candidates disappear because the position is 'beneath' their unemployed *sses I guess), chosen a candidate and then gone to negotiate, only to have the position being offered change to something else. (likely their 'preferred' open position in our organization) I try to remember to double check now but occasionally I've forgotten and just had to withdraw the offer because the candidate doesn't suit the position "the AI decided I really meant to advertise" in the first place. Of course, once THAT offer is withdrawn, they won't negotiate for the original positon I actually posted for and was interested in hiring them for. This sounds like a bug to me. At least something to check into.
It would be helpful to have a set of league files where negations are ongoing and this is happening and a specific example where this is happening that we can use to debug.

I can explain what's going on. I am trying to sign a GM as a Scout. Every time he gets a "I have better deal from another team" since there is no "negotiate" under pending offers it reverts the person to their normal personal position. So, if their normal position would be bench coach, or GM it will turn them revert them back to their position even though the position is filled. I did get lucky and was able to fix the situation because someone offered a better deal and allowed me to re-negotiate with them and I was able to switch it back from Assist GM to Scout again.
