Creating a new Game

I've talked with someone who knows these things and he said, after looking over Title Bout, It has a great game engine already and a huge database. You'd need a programmer and a game designer. And a good concept first! I guess one or two years of work with two guys plus a boxing expert who creates the concept would do it.

Wonder what that would cost? Two or three guys tops and a couple of years work.

Do you mean create a new game entirely? Or buy what Paul Norman has?

He meant if you bought out Paul Norman, but the implication is that he should've finished the game years ago.

I would think if you started from scratch it should take between four and five years to complete if you focused on the one project.

You already have a game concept. How much time and effort will that save?

No idea. I'm wondering how long it would take if you created something similar to TB but maybe that would be copyright infringement(?). Still no idea what it would cost though.

There's a game called Jagged Alliance that is circa 1999 squad based war game, to some it up.. They have a Modder community that has done remarkable work using xml files and such, much of which I think TB 2.27 uses or can use. I was recently considering reaching out to see if any of their computer wizards might take an interest. What do you guys think?

According to Syd Thrift it would cost six figures to hire just one programmer to work for one year. I've been told it would take a team of two or three at least two years to create a working game. As soon as I win the lottery I'll get right on it.
