Draft pool size and talent

We have a 32-team league in season 2023 and the draft pool talent in recent seasons has been poor. It's a 20-round draft and I believe the generated draft pool was for 30 rounds. What size pool would help us increase the talent in the league? An example, I have the 4th ranked farm system with six in the top 100, I have one 65 potential but the other five are 55. Would a generated pool for 50 rounds help increase the talent? Thoughts?

Do you have relative ratings on? If you have relative ratings on you most likely will not see a difference as by the name most are relative to your league in my experiences. If you remove the relative rating you may see what you are looking for.

It depends.. Is this an all fictional league? Because if you're using draft classes from the database, that could be a cause.

Assuming that you have an all fictional draft class, increasing the draft size will increase the quality. However, you shouldnt be so quick to do so. As WIUPIKE said, ratings can be relative. What are your settings? I ask because the draft size is not likely the problem

the league is based on 2019 MLB, so there may be some fictional, I don't think there are enough to worry about it. I'm not sure of the settings. How can I find them? This is an online league and I'm not the commish.

This is why I don't like to use the amateur DB for the draft pool. The talent isnt the same as generated draft pools. Since you cant look at settings, unfortunately there's not much you can do. I just wouldnt advocate changing the draft pool size unless it's 100% generated players
