It would be so cool if there was an optional manager card that affected stats like stadium effects do. Theyd be super rare and would boost and suppress similarly. If you chose no manager it would just stay flat, but you could play into strategies with them.

Id love to build a contact team and let Scioscia improve my hit and runs by 10%

Developers. Lets do it.

I have much more interest in Stadium cards to fix park factors. IIn baseball it is common to build your team to fit your stadium not your stadium to fit your team every season like can happen in PT.

I don't think we want to make the cheese strategies even more extreme. Ballparks already are obnoxious.

Fix the game balance before introducing new mechanisms like this IMO. This will just build on the imbalance...any "manager card" that boosts contact or defensive range will instantly become a must-have while all other cards are relegated to the sidelines.

I would like to see manager cards simply to replace the strategies section of the AI, with each manager having tendencies clearly listed and that strategy implemented by AI in the game.
That way, I can at least comprehend why the AI brings my closer into the game in the 8th inning and pitches him to death so he's unavailable for the next 2 games, despite what I have as settings on team and individual strategies page in the game.
Better managers are rarer and higher OVR ratings in the AH, etc.
