Seattle Kraken

Will they be available in the game and if so, will there be an automatic expansion draft? Thanks!

Not as of right now. If there's a lot of demand for it, we may add automatic expansion in an update, maybe as an option that can be set during startup. But you can always add them (and the expansion draft, and their AHL team) via league editing, and the official logos and jerseys are there for them to use.

It's not gonna make an "auto name" will it?

Do make it as an option when starting with 20-21 season, so Seattle gets their team when they are in real life.
Since we know this team it would be sad to just leave it out.
Since minor league teams have more realism in FHM7 (as I understood) whatever team Seattle will have might be reay already. I haven't looked but it would be cool if what we know could be an option.

I'd definitely be interested in an automatic expansion.

Yeah... having an automatic expansion for the Kraken would bring a lot to the game.

Setting up your protected list and then having the expansion draft is a whole lot of fun.

In fact, given that it is only one season away I'm surprised it isn't already there. Given all the uncertainty of the 20/21 season, Kraken coming in is one of the few things we do know about.

I think Seattle has already announced Palm Springs,CA as their new AHL team.

I would have thought Portland,OR but I guess that would have made too much sense but instead put another minor league team in California.

Automatic expansion should be added! It would really be a pain to manually expand every game for realism.

How do I do that? I see the team is already created in the game, but I don't know how to add them. When I go 'add team', it generates a new team for me. And the game keeps crashing when I try to edit the "Seattle Kraken' team data. Ditto for Palm Springs as well

Having the same issue. At this point I'm going to wait for automatic expansion to be added. Feel like there is enough demand for this to warrant an add.

Can't you go into League Structure add a Fictional Team and rename them.

Edit the name and other details of the new team - the Kraken/Palm Springs teams in the database are just placeholders I put there in case we decided to automate expansion, they can't be edited. We'll fix that crash, but you can't actually make the non-active teams in the database active.

Yes, please add automatic expansion. I usually play with a major junior team, but would really like to see a seamless transition at the NHL level without having to do all the changes myself.

I would be happy if you could just manually expand Seattle in Commissioner Mode and all the info, logos, team colors, AHL info, expansion draft rules automatically loaded. Cripes, you could do all of this with the Atlanta Thrashers in NHL 2000.

On a side note, is there any way to take over an expansion team that doesn't have staff already hired and some free agents signed? I like to start with a clean slate.

Here's another vote for an automatic expansion. Was kind of expecting it to be there already, after seeing their logo in the starting screen.

Just to add a thought about expansion. Is it possible to take over an expansion team without staff already hired? Every time I expand and take over a team before advancing, coaching staff, scouts, and trainers have already been hired.

As a new user to FHM, automatic expansion would be a godsend because it is too nuanced and overly complicated otherwise.
