Do You Play OOTP On 32-bit Windows

Hey all,

We have a question for everyone. Do you play OOTP on a 32-bit version of Windows?

We're interested in knowing how many folks still do so, so if you do, please reply here and let us know. Thanks!

Need to open the Control Panel and then go to the System->About to check. Depending on your OS, might be slightly different ways.

64 and quite honestly I'm not sure how much longer it makes sense to maintain a 32 bit system.

Doesn't Steam have these statistics? They've collected this info periodically from me in hardware surveys and the data is automatically gathered from my machine. There was also the option to view the collective results of the survey. That's gotta be better than asking in a thread.

My computer is like 10+ years old, still running Windows 7, and I'm 64 bit.

You're right, Steam shows exactly which OS are being used. For those of us who use Steam, but many users don't use it. We figured it might be good to ask before saying goodby to the 32bit version

win 10 64 bit here.... even my old win 8.1 computer was 64 bit, but it passed silently into the voids of wherever a while back.

64 bit

Given that many if not the most new games have already ditched 32 bit support, I don't see why OOTPD shouldn't.

Not me. Isn't it hard to even find a good 32-bit Windows system anymore? The IT department where I work won't let us buy used 32-bit machines because of security issues. I have to buy them and run them without IT support because of an antiquated piece of software required that keeps certain statistical data for the NCAA that will only run on 32-bit systems. Fortunately some new companies are creating new programs, but it's been slow to evolve for all sports.
