Trade difficulty (hardest?)
I actually think the trade AI is pretty good, especially for current-day/fictional leagues. It still can be taken advantage of though in historical leagues with recalc on, with you being able to look at the real-life long-term stats that aren’t necessarily reflected in the ratings.
What I tend to do when making trades in historical leagues is put the difficulty at “very hard”, and see if the trade is accepted at all 5 AI preferences (from heavily favor veterans to heavily favor prospects), to save time I try it out at the two extremes. In most cases, heavily favor prospects gives you the least amount of trade possibilities, but in rare cases, the AI rejects some of those accepted trades at the heavily favor veterans setting. I suggest adding a difficulty level which is the same as very hard, but the trade needs to be accepted at all 5 AI preferences. I don’t think it’s additional AI programming as it doesn’t “compute” anything that isn’t done already, but just makes it a tiny bit harder as the trade needs to be accepted for all difficulties and settings. Yes, in general (like over 90% of the time) heavily favor prospects is the hardest. Though in certain situations, e.g trading for veterans who are still somewhat useful, the computer will accept anyone, even 0.5 star potential 26 year olds in A, but will be a bit more discerning on favor veterans.
