League Expansion Date

Hello,

I was just wondering if FHM7 was the same as FHM6 in regard to being strict about July 1 being the date to add expansion teams. It just always bugged me missing the NHL Draft in the first season. Thanks!

Expansion is still on the first, but we have moved the entry draft.

What is the new date for the entry draft? How does it line up with free agency?

July 7 for the modern NHL. Free agency is still July 1. I've had thoughts about pushing it back behind the draft, say to the 8th, and making the July 1-7 period for negotiations with free agents but not actual signings. But that has a bunch of implications for AI and the game's free agent mechanics that I'll need to work through first.
