OMG! It's a league with NO TANKING

WE ARE NOW FULL, THANK YOU FOR CHECKING

Historical league beginning in 1946 with a full roster initial draft and an annual draft system that makes tanking useless.

1. You can choose (first come, first served) from the 15 remaining franchises that DO NOT completely conform to our 1946 starting season's real life franchises. The teams that switched locations prior to expansion are already in their new homes as we start so I can avoid that hassle. We will also have two divisions in each league so we have a better post season situation. When you choose your team from the list, you must also choose a letter from B to P (I already chose A for Arlo because there is no Z).

2. Those letters will be randomized to determine the draft order for the initial 30-round draft to fill your now empty rosters. When that is done, you will receive a chart that shows everyone's draft position for the first 16 seasons of OMG (after which, in 1962, we will expand to 20 teams and publish a new chart for the draft positions for the following 20 seasons). There are two advantages to this system: (1) there is absolutely no value in tanking, in fact, it will have nothing but bad effect on your franchise, so everyone will always be doing their best; and (b) when trading draft picks, we will always know what we are really talking about up to the expansion period.

3. The initial (serpentine) draft will be on StatsPlus and will require strict adherence to a tight schedule so the draft does not turn into some huge boring monster. With picks due at 5-minute increments, the draft will still consume 40 hours. So it is necessary that each GM makes lists with enough players on them to cover several rounds at a time (5 rounds would require an 80-player list). This is necessary because, if your 5-minute draft time expires, you will be auto-picked. The draft will take place in five segments from 11 AM Eastern time to 5:40 PM Eastern time Monday through Friday of our Draft Week. Everyone will receive a detailed draft schedule so you know when your picks are due. The time that each draft pick is due will not change according to previous picks, so, if everyone cooperates, the draft might go very fast on any day, while, there will probably be days when we wait hours for a pick that will then have to be auto-picked. That will be our lives for a week.

4. The annual (straight) drafts will happen on game date 12/15 each season, which I like because we can be drafting on StatsPlus while the Post Season is going (keeping everyone's attention). Those drafts will be structured in the normal manner with relatively large (hours) windows to make picks and the windows will start when the previous pick is made.

Send me your email address and I will provide the information to choose your team and join the league.

Couple quick questions here rather than email because I expect they will help others with interest as well.

1) Will drafts be fictional players, historical random debut, or the actual players that debuted in the league season?

2) Scouting / coaches on, or off?

3) Market Sizes fixed or default as generated by the game?

4) Communication via Slack, Discord, or other?

Loving the draft system, but very interested in other settings as well. Thanks!

Historical debuts for the season

2) Scouting / coaches on, or off?

OFF

3) Market Sizes fixed or default as generated by the game?

Starting out equal (average) and developing as merited

4) Communication via Slack, Discord, or other?

Slack communications and StatsPlus site

Loving the draft system, but very interested in other settings as well. Thanks!
I should also mention that, once we are running, the sims will be daily M-F at around 7 AM Eastern time each day.

Thanks

Need 4 more

Just to update the post, we need four more GMs to get rolling with this brand new, full initial draft, historic 1946 league.
