My Latest Creation
I've been in a huge OOTP rut of late. I've been doing a lot of experimenting, but nothing has really stuck. I do this a lot with every version. It's funny, even when i stop and start I enjoy myself.
My latest creation is a tribute to my youth. I grew up in Saginaw Michigan. We didn't have minor league baseball, but we did have the International Hockey League. Grew up going to Saginaw Gears games. Then in 1986 I moved to Shreveport Louisiana. Back then, Shreveport had a minor league baseball team, the Shreveport Captains of the Texas League. In fact, the year I arrived, the Captains, were playing their very first season in brand new Fairgrounds Field. This is a random debut league starting in 1962. Using a 126 game schedule. 3 year recalc, double weighted. Injuries are set to low for now. I may go to normal when rosters get deeper, but with the shorter season, low might be the best option. I'm using 4 man pitching rotations, with it set to occasionally start the highest rested. i intend to let the league proceed year to year using the historical modifiers, but if I make it to 1984 or 86, I will probably stop the progress there and either use the same year over and over or use ramdom years between 78-86 from that point on. Players are being drawn from 1901-2005. Last edited by David Watts; 12-19-2020 at 06:55 PM. |

Looks good, always enjoy reading and seeing other folks random debut creations.
I scraped my random I was posting a bit about back in September. Have spent the last 3 months building new leagues just to scrap them all. In the process of creating a new one - a little bit of a smaller league. 14 teams, 7 teams in each league and using 2011 as the stats output. |
