Does this seem like a lot of fights/suspensions?

I'm in year 2040 of a league (standard MLB) that I started 3-4 versions ago. Late in the season it started to seem like there were way too many fights and subsequent suspensions happening. I'm currently on Sept. 21 and I looked through the league news back to Aug. 1 and found 15 fights/suspensions in that time. That's one roughly every 3-4 days.

I realize that 52 days of one league is a small sample size, but that seems like way too many. I'd even go as far as to say I think 15 in a single season might be too many, but that's a number I could live with. Not sure 15 in 52 days is something we should be seeing.

What do others think?

I see very few (MLB expanded to 36 teams, in season 53) but then I have suspensions set to "Low".

So I can only add that the "Low" setting seems to work fine.

Ahh, good to know. It's been so long since I set up a league that I thought the only option was on/off for suspensions. I'll check that setting when I get home. Thanks!

You might check your HBP totals, too.

Just following up for anyone interested ... suspensions were set to normal, so I turned them down to very low. That seems like a lot of suspensions for a normal setting. But, it could be small sample size.

Maybe your league is just angry this year....like an old man trying to send back soup in a deli
