Finish FOTF Reds by Selling 100 Mays Legend and 100 Banks FOTF

Should I do that or stay the course... In return for selling these guys I would pickup Larkin FOTF 100, CF Eric Davis 95, CL Rob Dibble 94, 2B Joe Morgan 97, 1B Joey Votto 95, SP Johnny Cueto 91, 1B Tony Perez 92, and 4 other Diamond cards in packs from finishing the Reds Diamond Missions.

I am in Silver about to go to Gold next week. I have never made it above Gold, but played at that level 3-4 seasons.

Who is your SS currently? Larkin great vs lefties but his below average offense against RHP makes him a platoon SS. Most of those other guys won't really give you much of a boost and you lose. I think you come out on the losing end of this by selling you cards and pursuing the Reds mission.

Thanks for responding! My SS is Roger Peckinpaugh NYY 1919 96 OVR, snapshot. I got lucky and pulled both the Banks and Mays cards last week. Thought about finishing the Reds off because that's my team and Larkin was the guy I grew up idolizing outside of Griffey Jr.

That said, I'd like to keep winning, and not take a step back.

keep the mays and banks. most of those diamond cards won't help you much at gold/diamond

The high defensive ranks at both 1B and SS makes that Banks card a powerfully flexible tool.

No, do not sell Mays & Banks to complete CIN FOTF. Larkin is a platoon piece, albeit a really good one. You do not want him playing against righties. Mays is still extremely good even though the FOTF one is far better, while Banks is extremely useful for a very long time and can play against both sides efficiently.

Banks is better at everything, including this, than Larkin. I wouldn't sell Banks to get Larkin, much less add the Mays card to the sacrifice.

I stayed the course thanks to the comments in here. Won an Iron tournament today and pulled a JACKPOT 777 pull... 100 Perfect Historical Tris Speaker. Not selling him, inserting into lineup. Selling Mule Suttles who was batting DH and going to upgrade bullpen.

I am now seriously looking at being able to move into Diamond after this week.

Decided to sell Tris after playing him a couple days. With that windfall added 100 FOTF Robin Yount, 100 SE Luis Gonzalez, 98 Peak Charles Bender, 98 Peak Brooks Robinson, and 97 Snapshot Dazzy Vance which led to my team taking the Gold title over the weekend. First time in Diamond currently sitting at 4-1. Going to try to get to the Perfect League, but I know this team isn't ready yet. Need a few more upgrades which could take months to get.

I only spent $15 in real money on this team back in April/May trying to rush through the live missions.
