Perhaps this should go under Manage Angerment...Hey, that's a new one...

But I just opened 5 new gold packs and got 7 new cards total out of 30. The other 23 were duplicates.

There's an auction house & all...

But what up when there are 4238 total cards, I have maybe 548 but my card total is listed at 889 overflowing with 341 duplicates.

I could see if I had 67%+ (2800+ cards) of the set already but I am just at 20+% (890 cards or less) here, depending on how you are counting. I guess 890 cards mean that I have 890 unique cards which really is a bizarre amt. of duplicate cards. 341 duplicates already...

Even fresh 45s are welcome vs. the incredible amount of duplicates while buying packs. 23 outta 30?

Never buy pack for that reason

I minimized pack buying in XX but didn't have same problem when I did. At least to the same extent.

That sounds about right. By now you probably have most of the live cards, and they account for (estimated) 70% of card circulation. Packs are also loaded with Live Irons, which you probably have a ton of already (and sometimes get to pull 3 Bubba Starlings in the same pack - wow!!!). The math is just not in your favor when opening packs this late to get mostly cards you don't already own.

You answered your own question. You already had most of the cards. Even if you own right about only half of the live cards, a bunch of them are more than likely iron and bronze - the most common cards there are.
Again, the math is not in your favor, as we get later in the year and you open more and more packs, the "pack fillers" that are a new card to you become less and less common.

And there's a guaranteed gold level card in the pack

Yes, 49.5%, I got all of dem.

Yes there is a point about some of dem being higher tiers but there seems to be a different thing going on where they says OK maybe Historical Pack appeal will be where you get those Historical cards from, agree?

That would explain all the LIVE dupes.

I've bought mostly gold & regular packs...A few auction house picks and...

I've got 1710 total cards between the two teams. (about 285 packs worth)
552 unique cards.

So the average card in my packs I've got 3+ of on the shelf.
And I have less than 2 unique cards (of any variety) to show for each pack purchased.

That's all I know.
