Do Live Start Rosters Update?

Just started up a new Live Start session as it's getting close to the trade deadline and we're halfway through the season. I just noticed the rosters are not updated and was wondering if they would be, and if so, when? It would take awhile making the adjustments and waiting out for the deadline to be over to have the accurate moves be done.

They should update, yes. Some MiLB transactions may not update, but the MLB ones should be updating. If they aren't we'll probably have to check into things and see if there are issues with our data provider's feed.

Which transactions have you specifically noticed that aren't updated?

I noticed the Yankees trade for Addison Russ with Phillies getting David Hale didn't update, there was one or two more as well, but they all probably fell into that MiLB category which makes sense.

The trades that the blue jays made last week.. Vogelbach and Walker haven’t been updated. Not sure what else that’s all I checked. Also the Mookie betts extension.
Are the trade deadline trades going to be updated?

Are the trade deadline trades going to be updated?

The Betts extension won't update since we don't get extensions in our data feed.

The Walker/Vogelbach/trade deadline deals (MLB portions at least, if not MiLB portions) should be updating though.

We'll check into things to make sure they're working right and figure out a fix if not.

I'm not seeing any recent trades updated in today's Live Start version. Is there a delay due to the deadline being yesterday and there is more to update??

They actually won't update currently until guys play a game with their new team.

We're working on getting things sorted out so that even MiLB guys show up with their new teams though, but it'll involve a couple code changes, so will have to wait till the next patch (which is currently in closed beta) is released.

Billy Hamilton has 20+ AB's w/ the Mets and he is still on the Giants.

You guys really need to take a look at Live Start, it's an absolute disaster right now.

Just went through the live start today and MLB transactions on ESPN. It looks like the rosters haven't been updated since about July 22nd.

Yeah, there's certainly been something going on with how the live start is interacting with the new season and some other changes we made. We will have a fix for it for the next patch, and there may be a small chance that we may be able to get it working before the patch goes out, although we need to run a little more testing to see exactly what it does with the current released version.

Appreciate the update. I'm currently manually changing players over and noticed a couple (Aaron Nola for example) that have the stats of their new team but are currently on their old team.

Wanted to let you know in case that helps in some way.

For now, if you have this problem and empty out the Live start folder in the OOTP data folder and then start a new Live Start after, it should fix this.

I posted a thread as well. I did a live start on Sep 2 and none of the rosters
reflected the trade activity up to the deadline. Also, I can't make the trades manually because it is past the trade deadline. This is a major flaw because
the point of my live update was to play out the Padres , for example, with
the new acquisitions.

Yes, there have been issues tracking transactions to date. We changed the format we used for that, but have updated that now so I believe broadly speaking it should work now. There may still be some issues (I believe some traded players may end up having their contracts deleted), which will be fixed for new live starts run after the next patch is released.
