LGM "In Play"?

Hope everyone is safe and healty.

If you are a fan of the Mets, drop by OOTP20 Mets and follow the Amazins in the 2020 season. After a recent two-game sweep in Houston, Mets sit at 8-3, atop NL East and have positioned their fans with an annual sense of promise that ultimately turns to heartbreak.

How can you not follow such an emotional rollercoaster.

Thanks for your interest.

Making Moves

The unthinkable happened...Jed Lowrie came off the IL and became eligble for the Mets. With way team is rockin', wasn't going to shake the Big Apple cart...so Dodgers were willing to take him off our hands (and absorb his contract) in exchange for a guy I've begged the actual Mets to go after for some time...Welcome the versatile Chris Taylor to Flushing!

Bruised Thigh But Great Eye

Playing despited a tender thigh injured on Thursday, Pete Alonso channeled any residual discomfort upon the baseball, spraying his power to complement the hammer of Noah Syndergaard as the Mets opened a three-game set with the Braves by pocketing their 5th straight win! #LFGM

Marisnick helps Mets pry open can of Whoop...to back deGrom

His glove has been nothing short of phenomenal in center field, but Jake Marisnick broke his back from a slumber, wielding damaging lumber in support of Jacob deGrom as the Mets routed the Reds with their highest run output of the season.

Early shotty defense was neutralized by the grit and bat of Marcus Stroman, as well as power strokes from Michael Conforto and Jeff McNeil as Mets win third straight...

Davis Saves the Day

The Mets completed their sweep of the Cincinnati Reds with some late-game heroics from J.D. Davis and the early-season reliability of Edwin Diaz, who is atoning for his '19 shortcomings.

Seeking the Panic Button

Two straight late-game losses to D-Backs compile to deGrom injury as we wonder aloud...is it time to hit the Panic Button? Any lifelong Mets fan will understand...

KKK-atstrophe

Can't win if you can't put it in play. A forgettable three-game series in Arizona culminated with D-Backs complete the sweep and the Mets checking the bat rack upon exit for termites responsible for gnawing holes in the middle of their lumber.

How Low Can We Go?

Not much left to say...another loss aided by a costly error and another important arm heads to the IL for an extended stay.

Gotta Beat the House

Like a guy down on his luck after six straight losing hands at the table, rational thinking gets overtaken by twisted math. Eventually, the cards have to come out in our favor....the nightmare is FINALLY over!!!

Big Mac Attack!

Ignoring some pre-game internal strife that called for authoratative muscle to be flexed at the expense of the GM, the Mets set out to get a measure of revenge against the D-Backs. Jeff McNeil satisfied that quest in dramatic, 10th-inning, walk-off fashion.

Can't Get No Relief

A string of five games included three going extra innings, taxing the Mets' pen and leading to consequences on Wednesday, in a 2-1 loss to the D-Backs.

The setback compounded with Yoenis Cespedes suffering a strained hamstring that will have him listed as day-to-day.

Blooming Rosario, Unwavering Wacha Guide Mets

Continuing to show some power, Amed Rosario flexed his muscle at the plate while Michael Wacha, commendably filling a void in the starting rotation, proved what an invaluable commodity he is for the Mets as the Amazins blitzed Arizona in the rubber game of the series.
