Global start times of games

Is there a way to set the time of all games in a league to be in the daytime? I know that I can change start times in the schedule individually, but is there a global setting?

On a somewhat related note, if I have a game that goes past midnight, instead of going to 12am it skips to 1am. Where is the best place to post this glitch, and hopefully it can be fixed in a future patch.

You'd have to edit the schedule file, which isn't very difficult. In-game, though, there's no button that you can press that transforms all the game times at once. So what you want would require some work rather than no work, but not a lot of work

If someone could walk me through editing the schedule file that would be great. I started a league in the 1800s and every game is during the day. The stadiums look better in the daytime. So I’d like to have that in my current day league as well.

Get a good text editor or even use a word processor that has search or find/replace function. Just make sure you save as a text file with .Isdl when finished.

What sort of schedule are you using? If it's one generated by the in-game scheduler, then take the following steps:
  1. In the schedule editor page, go to Options and select "export to file."
  2. Open the schedule file in a text-editor program like Notepad.
  3. Using the "replace" (or "find and replace") command, search for time="1905" and replace it with time="xxxx" (replace the x's with the start time that you want - OOTP uses the military 24-hour clock).
  4. Save your changes.
  5. In OOTP, go to the schedule editor page and, under Options, select "import from file." Choose the schedule file you just edited.
Step 3 should work because all times in a game-generated schedule are set at 7:05 p.m., if I recall correctly. In any other schedule where there are various game times, you may need to do several find-and-replace actions to get rid of all the night starts. Or, as Questdog suggests, you can use a spreadsheet program, which is pretty easy if you know what you're doing - but I'm guessing that, if you need help with a simple text editor, you might find the spreadsheet method to be a bit daunting.

Or you could just use one of the many schedules out there that have only daytime starts. You can find them in the updated schedule list.

Thanks for that schedule list. The league that I want to edit the start times has 72 teams so that will work. I'll just have to realign my league to have six divisions in each subleague.
