Question for devs re standard game option in latest version
If this question has been asked/answered elsewhere I sincerely apologize for wasting your valuable time. But I couldn't find it so here goes:
I am starting a new Standard game in the latest version 21.5.76. I am trying to forget about this terrible virus inflicting the world, so I want to play a normal full season with all minor league/independent/international leagues included. When I get to the options page, I instinctively 'un-checked' the 2020/2021 Rule Changes Option but then received the following warning which I did not completely understand: "Disabling this evolution item will cause the game to continue running short season schedules and will NOT cause the 2021 season to revert to its previously scheduled set up. Continue." So, if I understand correctly, I need to keep this option box 'checked' in order to carry on with normal full season play in all leagues and at all levels moving forward. (This is the key question for me.) Am I correct? If so, then will I have to use rules like the extra inning runner on 2nd base rule in 2020 or moving forward? I'm just a little confused on whether to check or uncheck this box to run a standard full season game including all leagues. Please advise. Thanks. |

If you start a regular game (not the short season), then it doesn't really matter whether you have that option checked or unchecked. It's only really used to return the rules to the former defaults. The warning is just a general warning.
