Same schedule every year

I am playing a new MLB game, started in 2020. The league evolved and expanded by two teams after the first season to 32 teams, and I have noticed that my schedule has been the same every year since then. Is there a setting I need to change, or do I simply regenerate the schedule at some point in the preseason to get something different?

Notice this too. Not sure how to fix this without generating a new schedule each season. You could load earlier seasons as well. They are fictional schedules but haven't figured out how to get the game to auto load them.

Since you expanded the game can no longer use the MLB schedules to rotate like they do in real life. If you want it to change you need to make a new schedule every year. If you had multiple schedules for your set up you could rotate them but making them the way MLB does is a lot of work.

What if there hadn’t been an expansion?

I believe the default MLB setup includes rotating schedules that are used by MLB.

You can do that yourself by adding multiple schedules to the right place, I'm just not sure where that is.

Thanks for the advice, everybody. Now I just have to remember to generate a new schedule every year!

I remember Jacksonville being one, not sure about the other. I changed the two to Portland and Charlotte though.
