LOL. I'm tempted to do the same thing. Have 60K just sitting there in one team that isn't really going anywhere or is very good.

Could do a theme...turned on MLB network and was semi-inspired to go all Royals.

60 packs sounds exciting but at the same time could be horribly depressing getting the same crappy cards over and over again.

Canadian God ranking of the options
#1 - 60 regular since it's the less worst value for your points and more fun;
#2 - 6 historical since you'll get 100% of FOTF collection cards;
#3 - 4 diamond since you'll likely get 4 Josh Hader.

How about 10 standard, 5 gold, 2 historical, and one diamond.

If the historical are going tor 10k each.

I am thinking of doing the same. My team just cannot compete, and it will take weeks to get to a level where I might be able to be competitive against. And of course, when I get to that level, the tanking teams will be there waiting.

68k worth of packs tonight sounds like the move. Although, I do expect nothing of value to come from them!

I am thinking of spending all of my accumulated points on historical packs before the sale ends. In fact, I am thinking about returning to a permanent pack-only strategy. There is nothing else to do with the points now that the AH is a predatory minefield. If you can't beat them, join them.

Just opened 64 standard packs. Got 3 historical diamonds, 3 live diamonds, 3 historical golds and a handful of live golds. Not bad

If you guessed not great, you would have been right.

1 diamond - Harper

Biggest sell value - Boggs (9k)

10 golds - (5 live; 5 non-live)

About 4,000 each of Magernius Sierra, Robel Garcia, Yairo Munoz

I was hoping a few of the historical cards might have been worth some change, but nothing to note outside of the Boggs. This just sums up my run with the game!

I was planning of just letting my team do whatever for a few months anyway, and just seeing where it is in early September. Losing the 70k was lot a big deal since I am going nowhere with the team anyway.

If the goal is to pull strong Diamond or Perfect cards then I would lean towards the regular packs. If you aren’t worried about Perfect cards then the Diamond pack may be a good way to go. Historical packs would be my #3 pick and I would avoid the Gold packs unless you are specifically targeting Gold cards.

If you are targeting top cards then when you buy regular packs you can auction/sell everything that falls short. You can then use those points to buy more packs. Keep cycling like that until you can’t any more. Your original purchase of 60 packs would likely end up netting you 80-90 packs in total giving you more chances to get a top card.

That being said, I focus my points on the AH and use tournaments to get my packs.

Btw, the historical diamonds I pulled were Ashburn, Madlock and Harrah. Should get a decent return when those fotf’s are released, though Ashburn might be a keeper

I ripped 40 packs, 2 historical, and 3 gold 2 days ago. The result along with being able to quick sell and use the AH after the initial rip session for an additional 20 reg packs is below:

Lucas Giolito diamond
Gary Sheffield diamond
Lefty O'Doul diamond
Miguel Cabrera diamond
Ray Prim gold
Kirby Yates gold x2
Al Leiter gold
Sixto Sanchez gold
Bernie Williams gold
Mark Davis gold
Matt Lindstrom gold
Paul Waner gold
Willie Hernandez gold
Don Buford gold
Frank Howard gold
Bo Jackson gold
Dom DiMaggio gold
Oliver Marcell silver
Marcus Simien gold
Zach Greinke gold
Aaron Judge diamond
Didi Gregorious gold

I have ripped upward of 500 packs between 2 teams with only ONE perfect card in that time. 100 Acuna Live card. That has to be terrible luck right?

I have noticed lately (meaning the past few days) that I'm seeing more historicals drop, and getting many more silvers.

Maybe it's just variance, but seeing other people talking about it makes me lean more towards the devs tweaking the algorithm in response to our recent feedback.

Although 1 more Cole Tucker card and I'm gonna end up on CNN in an orange jumpsuit!
