Help understanding the"League"

Hi, I'm totally new at baseball so my question is certainly moronic.

IN PT21, when i go to "League/standings" to see where my team is ranking, I can see that there are several divisions : AC EAST NC EST AC CENTRAL etc.

What does it mean ?

I'm in NC WEST, together with 4 other teams. Does it mean I will play only these teams ? Or will I play against teams in other divisions too ? Should I finish first of my division ? Then what ? Could someone explain how the league works ? I'm lost.

And why when I click on "Subleague" all the teams appear in only one list ?

Would really appreciate some clarification on how the championship is organised.

Sorry to be a pain :-(((

Thanks.

Each league is divided into 2 sub-leagues. Each sub-league is then divided into 3 divisions, for a total of 6 divisions with 5 teams each.

You'll play most of the other teams, but you'll play teams in your division more.

If you win your division, you make the league playoffs. In each sub-league, the 2 teams with the best records that don't win their division face each other in the Wild Card game. The winner of those games advances to the Division series, facing the team with the best record in their sub-league.

The winners of each division series for a sub-league then face each other in the sub-league series. The winners of the sub-league series then face off for the league championship.

Generally, the teams with the worst 6 records in the league as a whole are relegated back down a level. The teams with the best records (pending playoff outcomes) are graduated to the next level. The middle teams will join another league of the same level.

The division and sub-league names are modeled on Major League Baseball's setup, but assignment to a division and league is random.

PT follows the current non-plague-riddled MLB schedule where each team plays 162 regular season games:

19 games each against teams in the same Division (76 total)
6 or 7 games each against teams in the other divisions in the same league (66 total)
between 3 and 6 games against 5 or 6 teams in the other league (20 total)

OK, so I will finish 2nd of my division (NC Central Division in R126 Universe).
What will happen now ?
Thank you.

I realise that according the quoted information probably nothing will happen as I'm 3rd in the WildCard series.
Am I right ?

If I understand correctly, as they are two last games to go, If I win both and if Watsonville loses both I will qualify ? Corrrect ?

The situation is extremely tense in Nukkxx City !!! Stress at max level !

You're 1 game behind, so if you win your last 2 games, and the team ahead of you loses their last 2 games, you'll be the 2nd wildcard.

If you end up with the same record, then you get a 163rd game, with the winner of the game between you and 2nd place becoming the 2nd wildcard.

Good luck!

So I lost the next game. This time I think I'm out for good ! :-(((
A pity because my guys did incredibly well this season.

What Should I do next ? Should I wait for the next season to start ? How do I know how long I have to wait ? Current date is OCT the 13th and my schedule is totally empty for OCT/NOV/DEC months.
Should I just wait and watch other teams and championship results until a new season starts ?

New seasons start Monday at 10:00 AM (well, your first game will probably be 10:30). Leagues will get set up sometime this evening.

One thing for you to still look at tonight is awards, which process once the playoffs in your league finish. There's the Cy Young for best pitcher, MVP for best player (which is usually a batter but can be a pitcher), reliever of the year, and great gloves and platinum sticks, which go to the best hitter and fielder at each position. Each of those awards some PP if your players win any of them (600 for the big ones and 250 for the small ones).

EDIT: Oh, and everyone gets awarded some end-of-season PP based on their "season score" which I guess is mostly based on how many games you win... for example my White Tigers got 1000 last season.
