Interesting waivers decision!
Playing offline and the Angels decided to put Ohtani on waivers. Interesting decision with their second best player and three-time defending Cy Young winner!
2020: 5.8 pitcher WAR, 2.2 batter. all star 2021: 5.9, 4.6. MVP, Cy Young, all-star 2022: 7.7, 2.1. Cy Young, all-star 2023: 5.1, 2.2. Cy Young, all-star 2024: 1.3, 1.3 through June 6th, then placed on waivers and claimed by Cleveland. all-star. Is signed through 2027 at $24.4 mil

While I agree this wouldn't happen in real life, did want to clarify that I posted this out of amusement, not to pile on the game's AI.
There are things I wish were better about the AI but there are also things that happen in real life that seem unbelievable to me as well like the DBacks trade for Shelby Miller or in hockey when the Oilers traded an MVP-caliber player in Taylor Hall for a second pairing defenseman.

That would kill immersion for my solo league...aweful! Hopefully the devs can make the AI roster management a priority for OOTP 22
