Dodgers Win 2020 World Series !

Back in May I set up my 2020 MLB 162 game season. I spent hours updating injuries .
Last night the Dodgers beat the Angels in game 7 of the Battle of LA World Series.
A lot of fun. This season was a great friend during some dark days when the world seemed a little scary.
I hope everybody is healthy and enjoying their seasons as much as I enjoyed mine.
All The Best !

Ver cool.

Just curious what sort of injury work you had to do, and also curious as to what made the Angels (.433 win % in real life) a contender in your sim.

Mike Trout won the 2020 World Series MVP,to be honest I had to search for that one. I found it by looking at the Player List, who was hot, Player Profile and hitting on History.
When I started the season I knew that it had been announced that Noah Syndergaard was out for the year. He was listed as active on the Mets roster.
I knew I had to manually take him out for the 2020 season.
That started me on wanting to have injuries be more realistic in my sim.
Everything I could find gave me estimates, example player X would be out for 6 - 8 weeks.
Everything was geared to a Covid - 19 shortened season.
I wanted to sim a 162 game season.
I believe I primarily used CBS Sports MLB injury list.
I compared that with the data provided by OOTP 21 .
I made the best estimates I could with the information I had.
I'm sure there is a better way to do this but without an updated patch from OOTP listing the latest injuries I figured this was my best option as long as I was willing to put in the time.
OK, I'm slower at manually inputting data then most of you guys are. Work was closed down except for going in every coupe of weeks to make inspections so yes I had extra time and I spent 4 hours getting injuries to where I felt they were realistic or at least reasonable. After all who can possibly predict exactly what's going to happen with all the different variables.
I don't know why the Angeles did so well.
I never managed any of these games. I just watched them or had them on while I painted or did yard work or even while eating dinner.
What I do know was that this season was a lot of fun.
I'm going to finish simming the actual 2020 season with the shortened schedule. I've made no adjustments to that.
When that's finished I can get back to finishing my 1964 sim. I had to put 1964 on hold. I've been back to full time work since June and that's left me with less free time.
But I will finish 1964 and I'm sure I will love that too.
I guess I get obsessed with my seasons.
To me this is the the greatest hobby in the world !
