Historical simulation since 1901!
I've started a new OOTP 21 simulation, starting in 1901. I also included a World Cup of Baseball, which will be later on in this thread. Some additional info:
1. All teams have fictional players. 2. The postseason has the top 2 teams. 3rd plus 4th place will be wild card teams. 3. None of this is historically accurate. 4. These week-by-week recaps are highlights in the MLB. Let's start with Opening Day only. APRIL 18, 1901 In the AL, Jimmy Belk of the Chicago White Sox was injured while pitching against the Baltimore Orioles. He would have elbow inflammation, missing a week. His team would lose 4-3 in 13 innings. Pat O'Neal of the O's pitch 12 complete innings, striking out 7. In the NL, Jake Osborne of the Boston Beaneaters K 6 in his win against the New York Giants. Armando Ramos, a Dominican of the Philadelphia Phillies, strike out 5 in his complete game win against the Brooklyn Superbas. AL Standings: BAL, DET, PHA, and WAS: 1-0 CWS, CLE, BOS, and MIL: 0-1 NL Standings: BSN, PIT, PHI, and CHC: 1-0 NYG, CIN, BRO, and STL: 0-1 Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk

On day 2, Juan Saldana of the Pirates hits 3 doubles in a 11-5 win versus Cincinnati. The next day, Ben Keltner throws a 5-hitter en route to the Giants winning 5-0 against Pittsburgh. Day 4 of the season finds Ricardo Macias of the White Sox knocking 4 K's on the board, winning 3-1 over Boston. On day 5, the World Cup of Baseball begins. More on that in the next post. On said day, Jake Osborne dominates again for the Beaneaters, winning 4-0 over Philadelphia. The Giants-Pirates game is canceled for bad weather (rescheduled to 6/3/01). Emmanuel Johnson of the Reds throw a complete game win 10-1 against Brooklyn on day 6. The final day of week 1 saw a dominant performance for Steve Zoeller of the Cleveland Blues, who strikes out 4 in a 4-1 win over the Boston Americans.
