Major Arena Baseball League
I wanted to do a league with real teams, but something different - high powered offense. The starts way in the future, in the year 2101. In this day and age, fans love seeing the balls get hit out of the park, so I'm giving them what they want. I'm starting with the 16 original franchises, but they will be in their current cities. I wonder if every team can win at least one World Series by the time I begin expansion in 2162.
Only pennant winners will make the playoffs for now, so there will just be the World Series, the way that it used to be. When I start expanding, I will expand the playoffs as well. It would be fun to use the same Roman numeral format for the World Series that the NFL uses for the Super Bowl. After 81 games World Series I is projected to be the New York Yankees vs. San Francisco Giants. Standings on July 5, 2101 Last edited by jg2977; 05-27-2022 at 06:28 AM. |

Standings on August 25, 2101
The San Francisco Giants clinched the NL pennant easily, as they hold a 21 game lead on the Cincinnati Reds on the last day of the season. But in the American League, the Boston Red Sox raced out to a 7 game lead over the New York Yankees a month ago. However, the Yankees have stormed back to tie the Sox on the last day. And they are playing against each other, so this is essentially a one-game playoff to win the AL pennant. Last edited by jg2977; 05-27-2022 at 06:29 AM. |

World Series I Champions: Boston Red Sox
What an odd inaugural World Series we had, where the road team won every game! Congratulations Boston Red Sox, you are the first world champions. |
