After creating a new custom league and getting everything setup I started to Play the first game of the season listed on the schedule. After a couple of innings I decided to quit the game and start over the next day. Although everything should be just as it was in the beginning with every team and player having zero stats what so ever that is just not the case. I have noticed that several areas have been negatively affected by this action:
Career History of the individual players involved in those couple of innings has been changed. League Headline News has been changed to reflect what had happened. League Injury News has been changed except the players are not actually injured. Records Books for the league and teams has been changed. There may be other areas but these are the ones that I have noticed. I have archived the league folder in case it is needed to resolve this issue. Last edited by couriers; 04-21-2003 at 12:11 AM. |

Not a bug. The thing is you created those pages the moment you started playing. When you reset the league those pages remain. Simply delete them, they will be created again once you start over.

Ok that works well. What would you do if it was in the middle of the season?

Actually that didn't work so well because now my players don't have any personally histories that should include their draft information. Is there a way to correct this without going through each text file and making manual corrections?

Bump. Could any help in explaining what could be done to correct this other than starting over. I have created new leagues to play around with but would be interested in determining if there is a work around or if this is actually a bug. Thanks.

How about instead of quitting the game, simulate until the end? Then start again, fresh, the next day.

That is a more than viable option except three things:
1 - I was simply testing a skin and didn't think that my fresh season would be negatively effected by just seeing how some color and graphics changes looked in the game. 2 - My computer was starting to slow to a crawl with the graphics programs running in the background and I didn't want to take a chance that it would freeze up so I was trying to exit everything as easily as possible. 3 - It should not have recorded any information for a game that technically never existed so I shouldn't have to suffer after using an option that was made available to me by the game itself. The Quit Game option should work like it was intended or it should be noted on how it is intended to work differently or it should count the game as a forfeit or it shouldn't exist at all. Please keep in mind that with this and the other possible bug that I have seen the game is still an absolute hit as far as I am concerned. I am simply reporting these things in the event that the developers are interested in knowing what might help to improve future versions. |

I did that as well but that had nothing to do with the fact that the Quit Game Option didn't do what it should have done. I shouldn't have player histories and league news that reflected a game that was never finished and I shouldn't have to delete the files and lose the draft histories in order to correct the problem.
The fact that my computer was starting to run slow did nothing other than help me to decide to utilize an option that the game offers. That option, or any other in the game, should not screw up my records for my league. |

Let me see if I can grab Steve's attention. I'm out of ideas. I didn't even have any to begin with.

If you create a new league and start to play the first game you will see exactly what I am describing. Just quick sim to the 5th inning or so then hit Quit Game. Afterwards, look at your individual player histories that were involved in the game and the league news as well. If there were any injuries then the info will show up in the Injury Log. Players will also have histories for things like First Career Hit and such.

Yes, yes, I see what you're saying. BTW - can you believe the dbacks were beating the Dodgers 10-0, with the Unit no-hitting them when I quit in the fifth?
![]() Anyway, yeah, Matt Williams had already gone 2-3 with a homer, and in his history, it says Had first career hit..., hit first career homer off... |

Oh, and another thing I saw when I went to my team page - Randy Johnson's name was in green. But that's another topic.

No idea why this happens, it shouldn't till after the game but nothing can be done till Markus gets back and begins work on another patch. You can delete the files.

Thanks for looking into this guys. It is appreciated.
Also, just to note again that deleting the files leaves you with no draft history for each player, which kind of stinks since that is where the player histories begin. |
