Minor League Manager loses control of team

I was playing as a minor league manager in Challenge mode in a league started in v20. In my first year with the 1969 Clinton Pilots, the Midwest league affiliate of Seattle. Best record in the league, but lost in the playoffs.

During the Major League offseason, when the game shuffled and updated the minor leagues, I lost control of the team. It still shows me as manager of the Clinton team on my personal page, but a new staff shows under personnel. I know I had a contract through 1971. When I go through “manager actions” to the different team tabs, those pages show up blank.

I was not promoted.

It almost looks like the team was deleted and then recreated with the franchise moving to Milwaukee. The team history doesn't show the 1969 season. And now the Clinton team exists in the ether as an unaffiliated team.

Any ideas?
