Make Bad Settings

Has anyone ever threw caution to the wind and zeroed out the make bad settings altogether and simply let things fly completely unrestrained?

I was messing with this a little last night. Was curious how it would effect guys like Ted Williams and Joe D during the war years. Cool thing is, it looks like without the make bad settings, neither one of them took the nosedive into bench player land in 1943-45 and continued their stellar play. But, I did see a couple waxplants challenging for the batting title in both leagues. Can't remember their names, but both had very few real life at bats. Both of these guys were hitting in the .380 range.

What if... the games we play create parallel universes? And in that universe, the Ted Williams of that world is asking himself, "how the heck is Eddie Gaedel hitting 40 points higher than me?"

It's the beginning of June 1978 in my current random debut. The AL batting average leaders are Alexei Ramirez, Gene Clines and Don Money.......Stan Musial is just scratching his head
