Batted Ball Profile & Power Development

Does anyone have numbers, substantial anecdotal evidence, or other data pertaining to hitters batted ball profile and their ability to reach and/or maintain their power potential/ratings?

More specifically, I'm curious if groundball hitters are any less likely to reach their power potential and/or put up home run totals commensurate with their current power ratings.

I don't have any answers for you but I just wanted to say that I appreciate the question and am curious about any answers that might be available as well.

Or another way to put it: for a first post I feel like you came with your A game!

Thanks! Long-time player and lurker here. Usually able to find answers by searching but wasn't able to find anything substantial on this particular subject.

Cheers fellow Denverite!

Nice to see another (there are at least a few here) Denver-based OOTP'er.
Lovey day today, isn't it? I will admit I'm having a hard time focusing on work with the warm(er) (well, not as warm as a few days ago) weather and abundant sunshine on a Friday. (Though some clouds rolling in now. Ah, well, back to it.)

Nice!
My 86-year old father has been planning to move to Canon City since prior to the pandemic. Unfortunately that pushed things off last year but hopefully he can still get that accomplished before next winter sets in (he lives in Michigan, where I grew up.) So I'll probably be spending more time in the Springs area once (if) that happens.

Perhaps Ronco might be interested in conducting a study. Hopefully the batted ball profile only influences the distribution of the outcomes but not the outcomes themselves. Having said that, is a groundball hitter more likely to have a single turned into an out by a good play by an infielder than a flyball hitter having a single stolen by a great play by an outfielder? If infielders have more of an impact on team defense than outfielders, then maybe there is a disadvantage for those players. I have asked about these profiles before and was told that there is no advantage for any type.

Hmm. I'm starting to think that when the pandemic is over we may need to hold some sort of Denver-area OOTP'er get together.
