A pitcher that always struggles in Aug/Sept
I have a good #1 or #2 starter that performs very well in the first part of the season, but for the last 3 seasons at least he gets lit up in August and September. Is this a hidden rating somewhere? Shouldn't it show up in scouting? Just a coincidence? Do many others notice this?

Lol Sounds a lot like Chris Sale in my game. started last year 7-0 in his first 7 starts. (Earned him a massive contract extension. I'm a sucker lol) He finished the year at 9-15. Lol This year so far so good. 3-0 in his first 3 starts, and pitching well. Now I'm scared to have him in my rotation come crunch time later in the season. Lol |

You beat me to the Sale reference. There’s no “hidden” rating. Some pitchers just can’t handle the stress of an MLB season. Same to some extent with some position players. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Thank you! What I meant by hidden was that if the game is modeling this behavior there must be some attributes and ratings that determine which players this impacts. Since I don't see those settings in "edit" mode, I called them hidden.

Small sample size? I can flip a coin three times and get heads three times in a row, even though the true odds are 50/50.

Well pitchers do wear down in real life. 150+ innings is a lot on the body. Maybe OOTP replicates this. Sale and Ryu come to mind as real life examples.
