I was just playing a game late in season one of my solo fictional. I noticed that my opponent's RF had no arm rating. I checked him out and he wasn't out of position. His primary position is RF, he just had no arm rating. Is it possible that he had an E rating which dropped? It wasn't listed in the team's development report, but it's possible that a glitch caused it not to be reported. It's also possible that a glitch caused his arm rating to go bye-bye.
I just edited an arm rating for him, but I'm curious if this was a glitch or if his E rated arm dropped off the charts. |

This is common for OF and C learning the position. I have not seen an arm rating drop that I can recall, but I have seen them increase (very rarely) so I would imagine they could decrease.

Hmm, he's rated at 1B and LF with RF as his primary position. If he learned RF midseason, it wouldn't become his primary position, would it? I don't know since I've never had a player learn a new position.

If that guy can hit better than any RF on your team, that's probably what happened. Jason

Do you mean that the AI will change what a player's PRIMARY position is? I can see him playing a lot of 1B or LF (his two secondary positions) due to AI decisions, but that doesn't really relate to why he had no OF arm rating. |

Yes. The computer will change a player's primary position if it feels the need. I've seen it often.
Your guy started as a 1B, and the AI changed him to RF. Thus he has no Arm.

It seems to me if a player switches to OF, he should at least have an E rated arm. This guy made a throwing error to home, allowing me to score a couple runs. Is that coincidence or will an unrated arm make a load of throwing errors? |

IMO, all players should have arm ratings, regardless of their position. 3B and SS need a pretty strong arm, where 2B & 1B do not. Give him a C.
