New 2020 season - with proposed Realignment

Evening all -

Clearly i'm an idiot and doing something wrong. I'd like to take a shot and running a 2020 season with the latest proposed realignment that's come out in USA Today - dividing into Grapefruit and Cactus with 3 divisions in each league.

I have been able to start a custom league and set this up with the 2019 versions of each team - but I'd like to do it with 2020. What am I doing wrong? Is it possible to essentially start a fresh 2020 season and then fully realign into these divisions and regenerate the schedule before starting play?

You start a 2020 league like normal, then realign them. But you need to be in Commissioner mode to do this, you can't play in whatever that mode is that disables it.

Commissioner Mode has never been required for realignment.

This reminds me... I've always wondered what MLB would be like if instead of American and National Leagues there were East and West Conferences. It would be fun to see divisions with geographical rivalries, for example the Yankees-Red Sox -Mets- Phillies in the same division, White Sox-Cubs in the same division, and Angels-Dodgers in the same division. Thinking about trying this out.
