New player help

Hi guys I’m new to perfect team and opened my packs and such. Is there a guide on using the AH to buy player cards? Also, how much should I be counting on spending for the categories? I’ve seen Nolan Arenado for example going for 100k PP which is a lot!

Lastly, should I be buying packs to build a team or using the AH? Thanks again for the help

Guys throw out crazy numbers to start hoping suckers, err, I mean players will buy despite a nutty price. After a while you can see what the ave price for sale the last 7 days is and judge a little bit better.

Depends on what you are trying to do on the packs question. They don't have a great payout so AH makes more sense to build a team once the prices start to normalize. Packs allow you to potentially strike it rich like buying a lottery ticket. Plus they are fun.I tend to mainly use the AH on my main team and buy packs here and there hoping lightning will strike.

One other bit of advice since you are new. Tournaments are a good way to get free packs. Sign up for 32 team Iron or Bronze tourny and when it ends take a look at how the top two teams were constructed ( screen shot the lineups). Might give you ideas on how to build a decent Iron or Bronze team which you can assemble via the AH. Then enter lots of those kinds of tournaments to try and get some free packs.

I'm struggling to decide what to do with a 97 Gavin Lux I pulled.

Should I use him as a great foundation card or should I sell him now while prices are at a premium? I am FTP so 97s will be few and far between but I can probably get enough PPs for him to build a solid Gold level team almost just with his proceeds.

I put this here because its sort of the next level of decsion making once newer players figure out to buy regular packs and then move on to finding good deals on players which might have lower overalls but play well (I still have a 67 Ichiro starting in RF for one of my PT20 teams).

As someone who made a fortune selling a 100 Ted Williams from a pack last year week 2 (sold for 350k), I would sell now and build up a team that can make you some PP and tournament wins now. You can always reacquire the card in a month or so to join an improved team. Just my 2 cents.

I agree with scuddawg. Sell now while the price is high. You can always buy him back cheaper later. Most likely you will have better guys than him by then.
