Fictional League with MLB players

Ok, I'm kinda new and maybe being a little thick here, but how do I start a fictional league with MLB players?

Tried a couple of times, but it generates fictional players. What am I doing wrong?

There are several options for doing so, but they require editing of sorts. This thread and the thread it links to shows some of the options:

The way I do it works fine for me because I generally use the Reserve Roster instead of the minor league system. Solutions vary depending on how much you want to do.
