Sorry to bother you guys, but you are the best ones to get us answers here on the Forums.

The website take a long time to connect to... I tried five minutes this morning before it would connect... then it took 30 to 60 seconds to change screens... "waiting for OOTP Response" was seen in the URL while it was processing.

I know nothing about servers and websites... all I know is I can got anywhere on the internet and get there quickly with no speed problems at all... it is only OOTP that does this... logically, I would think that OOTP is the problem.

We have had this happen before several times in the last year... never had the problem in the previous 15 or so years that I have been part of the Community.

Hope you guys can figure it out... it is frustrating.

It is working fine now... it seems once I can connect to the website, the problem goes away in a few minutes and then the website begins to work properly.

When I try to edit a post, it takes 30 to 60 seconds to process... it doesn't do it quickly.

It will allow me to post another comment quickly and processes fine.

But "Submit Reply" takes 15 seconds to process.

"Save" also takes 30 seconds to 60 seconds to process.

All is well... it is functioning fine now.

It started about 8:45 am Central Daylight Time.

Cleared up about 9:05 am.

It seems to be moving quickly enough for me. This type of thing can be sporadic. I will hang around a while and bear witness.

I did find it to be very wonky last night.

I have noticed this slowness connecting as well, but once you get here it seems to be ok. I did have one issue posting a reply yesterday where it timed out. But all seems well now.

I was having issues as well last night, and also this morning. Had to try twice to connect this morning. Seems to be working fine for me now, however.

The submit has been processing two minutes now... waiting for the response from the server.

I just X'd out of the post... then returned to the website.

This post went quickly like normal... will see if I can submit this post.

Yes, it's definitely not you, Eugene. It dragged similarly just now. Yet, there is not much you can do about it other than what you have done so far; a moderator will need to notice and contact the server administrator for remediation.

Hope OOTP can do something to correct this... this could hurt their business... I'm patient and loyal... so I can handle it... hope others can, too.

I'm sure that it will be corrected shortly - it always is - but in the meantime, I will move on to other endeavors for I find my mind is wandering, waiting for the screen to refresh. I bid you good day, sir.

We restarted the site's server and it seems faster again now. If you guys run into issues again, let us know.
