CSV Export and heights
I just did a general CSV export and some players are missing birthdays and everyones heights are messed up they show up as dates.
Also it has been a small thing but the heights are wrong in the game They are portrayed as 6"0 for 6 foot but that is really 6 inches can it be made a more accurate 6'3" 6 foot 3 inches? Thanks Also how do i get retired players and hall of famers in a csv export |

I ran into the "heights as dates" thing a while back. Here's what I did to fix it so I could import the data correctly.
Open the export in Excel. Insert a column. Copy the "dates" (that should have been the heights) into the new column and make sure the format is text. Then you'll have to do a Find/Replace for every date/height. For example, you'd highlight the entire column and do a Find/Replace for a particular value (I don't have anything in front of me but it'll make sense when you see it) and replace it with '6-1 (or whatever is the associated height). You have to make sure you have that leading ' or it'll just mess up again. Hope this was clear. It's easier to see when you're actually doing it. When you're done, be sure to delete the old, messed up column and save the spreadsheet as a CSV file. |
