Traded Players Disappear

I have to do a bit more research to find out what's going on but it doesn't look good. I am commisioner of an on-line league running OOTP 5.01 with GeForces v1.1 rosters. Last night one of my owners made a trade with an AI controlled team.

Oakland (human) traded:
C. Ross
R. Gant
M. Bowie

to San Diego (computer) for:
M. Kotsay
J. Witasick

I made the trade on my PC and uploaded the league last night. This morning the owner called to report the error. Gant, Bowie, and Ross are all on San Diego but they are all three on Oakland still too! There are duplicate players! Kotsay and Witasick are nowhere to be found. I go to league setup and display all players in the league and they are gone. I checked "League News" and in the transactions section it shows that the correct trade was made. What happened and how do I/you fix it? Thanks.

I think that the problem maybe in the way that the league is operating, not certain but if this is the league that allows the human GM's to figure out trades with computer owned teams outside of the commish file there could be a whole lot of problems that could take place.

To fix it I would recommend that the commish be the ONLY one to be able to approach a computer team about a trade, the GM's need to submit all offers to the commish and not make any moves themselves. That is for starters, as far as correcting the problem I really am not sure since I don't know how things go messed up in the first place.
