After learning there is a new incarnation of the WHA's Chicago Cougars, I was disappointed they hadn't updated the logo. Scrolling thru the plethora of logos I have saved, I stumbled upon one that would work for a modern take on the Cougars. This led to me doing other concepts based on non-baseball logos I have.

The original Chicago Cougars played from 1973-75 in the WHA. The team has been resurrected in the NA3HL (low level American Junior league). I'm including the original logo so you can see the difference.

One of the original members of the NFL, the Canton Bulldogs were a dominant team in the early 1920s. In 1923 the Bulldogs were sold, relocated, and merged into the Cleveland Indians. In 1925 the former owners of the Canton team bought back their part of the Bulldogs. In 1925 the NFL had both the Canton & Cleveland Bulldogs on the schedule. Neither team would survive beyond 1927.

The Northern Kentucky Nightmare were an arena football team of the AIF that played for one season (2016) before the league folded.

The San Diego Seals are a National Lacrosse League team who began play in 2018-19.
