Exclamation StickWare Schedule Generator 4.0 program available!

You can download it from:

http://baseballsimcentral.com/dloads/Detailed/2038.shtml

For those that do not know what the program does.
You can:
- automatically create realisted schedules for your OOTP4 league.
- Program automatically imports teams and start date
- staggered off days
- assign time zones to teams for realistic start times.
- Play balanced or unbalnaced schedule
- Interleague play option. You select # of series per team.
- All-star break (message tells you when to add All-Star game in OOTP4)
- Message tells you what to set "Year starts on " in OOTP4
- Fixed Leap year bug from old version

Have fun!
Dave

send comments/suggestions to davep1967@yahoo.com

BTW- I plan on adding logic to the program to automatically assign the correct time zones for the 3 letter abbrivations of teams in the Lahman DB.

I have 2 questions about the utility.

1. What does "Approx # vs. div teams" mean? Is that the approximate number of games or the approximate number of series?

2. "Num of Interleage Series per Team". Does that assume an average series is 3 games long?

Essentially, I'm wondering what I'd enter if I wanted to play 40 games against teams in my division and 10 games against each team in the other league.

Thanks. Great utility.

Number of Games is how I've always treated it.

2. "Num of Interleage Series per Team". Does that assume an average series is 3 games long? Yes I believe so.

One minor little quibble... if you have 10 teams in a division, only 9 show in the division window. The other can be found by scrolling up. This in itself is no problem, other than the fact that there are only 9 radio buttons to set the different time zones. Essentially one team doesn't get a time zone assigned (maybe it defaults to Eastern?). Like I said this is a minor problem, as time zones are mainly cosmetic aren't they?

To those who get this program, take the time to Pay Pal Dave a buck or two... isn't it worth the time you saved making your own schedule?

Thanks again Dave, for a terrific program.

You can schedule doubleheaders manually via the schedule editor inside OOTP, just add the extra game.

Yea--- I only designed it for 9 times per division. After then it just assumes it is Eastern time.

Since the only time there was more than 9 teams in a division, was when there was only one division per league---- the work around is to put some of the teams in another division...and pick your time zone there.

To the game, it doesn't know you did that. (ie It won't move the teams in the game)..

Kemp -
1) It is Approx number of game.
2) ALL interleague series are 3 games.

Double headers? --- You can't make them with my program--but what was suggested is the solution. Just take a game from the day before (or aftter) and move it in OOTP.

Does this utility work for custom leagues (ie any number of teams/divisions)?

Thanks,
Jim

Is anyone else having problems downloading from baseballsimcentral? I'm getting a blank page when I click "download now."

(I swear in OOTP3 you could have 4 divisions)

You will have to be careful to make sure you don't accidently sim the second game of the double header while playing the first game... and you'll have to manually fix the starting pitcher for both teams, because they'll think the same guy should start both games.

There maybe some other small issues, but I have successfully played two games on the same day in the past.
