Post Too many Injuries to Starting Pitchers?

Hello again, I've been playing with a 3 or 4 man rotation to try to re-play the deadball era... but my pitchers get slaughered with injuries... I get at least 2 year ending injuries to my SP every year and rarely have all my rotation from opening day healthy but the computer teams (also useing 4 man rotation) don't seem to have these problems...

my injuries are set on "Very Low" and i have no trouble with my position players... any one know what is going on?
thanks,

-Max

There was a similar thread on this topic where I checked MLB injury page to see that in fact pitchers were the most injured players, around 60 out of 98. There is also another thread around here where the poster wondered why he had so few injuries while the AI had a lot. Bottom line, it's all luck, whether good or bad. As a final thought, do you have many pitchers with a prone injury rating?

The computer also will pull pitchers pretty much the second they go red, while humans tend to try and let their guy finish up the inning, go 5 to get the win or finish the game to get the shutout.

I've noticed that most of my pitcher injurues happen when the guy's in the red.

Jason Schmidt was pitching a shut out into the ninth when he tired. I left him in to try to get a complete game and he injured himself, out for a few weeks. I wont do that again. The three instances I have seen the AI leave a tired pitcher in the game is if a no hitter is being pitched, no relievers left in the pen, and if the pitcher is locked into a foul ball battle with the batter. He wont be taken out until the at bat is resolved.
