Interest in a New League?

I am not a FTP but not a whale, I'm looking for a league based on either a limited total roster score (each player counting 40 to 100), or a limit on number of perfects, diamonds, golds, and silvers. I think 1 or 2 Perfects would be ideal, but I have 6 available if that's what the league max is.

If there is a league like this that has openings in either Perfect or Diamond, I'd be interested in joining. If not, maybe there are enough others out there interested in starting one? I think battling it out against comparable teams, getting to know the GMs would be a blast.

How much money have you put in?

I've spent over 200, but in my first big purchase I got Josh Gibson the day he was introduced. I sold him and bought a ton more packs.

I wish you good luck on your search. The difficulty with organizing something like this, however, is that the chance of a bunch of teams being in the right level is pretty small. So you have to be determined in tracking and friending the teams in your virtual league to ensure they all end up in the same physical league.

You should see all the nagging and cajoling people do in the OL thread to make that work... and there are still a couple of teams that end up placed wrong every so often.

I've been thinking that maybe OOTP should implement some sort of "virtual league" where someone could create a virtual league, and other teams could indicate their interest in that virtual league - and that would override the normal promotion process. Sort of the equivalent of regular online OOTP leagues but in the PT universe. So teams in this league would just stick together season after season. That would require a bit of back-end work and may be outside the scope of PT though.

Yeah this is what I've been saying. As a bonus it would decrease the need for the OL tag. Maybe we could get a few leagues filled with 30 teams too.

Although you could also have it work alongside the regular PT universe. Just have a "master friend's list" for a multi-level league like OL maintained by a commissioner. Only the commissioner needs to worry about maintaining the list, and no tweaking is needed every week with promotions.
