Briedis WBSS *spoiler*
What the hell was Ref Robert Byrd doing????? I have seen some bad call refs but this guy took it to a new level tonight rightfully giving Briedis a foul point after he got hit in the back of the head and then delivered an elbow to the jaw that sent his opponent down (dive?) then they kept fighting after the bell ringing LOUDLY and Briedis sent his opponent to the canvas again and Byrd gave him an 8 count and complained he did not hear the bell. But Briedis admitted he did hear the bell in the post fight interview. Briedis won via KO and will face Dorticos in the finals. But wow an elbow which COULD of been a DQ then responds with a knockdown bell rings LOUDLY AND OFTEN Corners jumping in the ring then a second knockdown and 27 some odd seconds in 3rd the finish and a proposal from Briedis to his squeeze and Dorticos suffered a bad cut over his eye (eyelid?) wow.......DAZN has some crazy fights.....

Yeah Robert sure did look confused.
His wife's judging ability was questioned recently too. |

It was a little while ago, forget which fight now but her judging prowess was really called into question.
Found this: The judge who sparked controversy with her scoring in Gennady Golovkin’s thrilling draw with Canelo Alvarez on Saturday night is being temporarily stood down from major fights. Adalaide Byrd, who has developed a reputation for debatable scoring, had the Mexican winning 118-110, a score which perplexed most observers and put her at odds with her fellow judges. And made enemies in UFC too: As if UFC 222 wasn’t special enough, the event is also marks the return of controversial Nevada State Athletic Commission judge Adalaide Byrd. Byrd’s been on something of a forced vacation ever since she served up a blatantly terrible scorecard in Canelo Alvarez’s favor for his massive boxing match against Gennady Golovkin last September. Accusations of rigged judging were thrown around and the heat got so bad that the commission shelved Byrd (although why they didn’t permanently remove her after her latest high profile judging flub is beyond us.
