Lineups in "play game" do not reflect the set lineups

Title
No matter how many times I set my lineup, whenever I play a game the lineup is not how I set the lineup in my rosters screen. Pics attached below. It has done this for months of in-game time. My catcher keeps getting put into the 6 spot when I clearly have him in the 8 spot.
It's set to be and SHOULD be:

1 Robles
2 Altuve
3Harper
4 Soto
5 Anderson
6 Morales
7Riley
8 Astudillo
9P

But keeps coming up as
1 Robles
2 Altuve
3 Riley
4 Upton
5 Morales
6 Astudillo
7 Chisenhall
8 Adames
9 P

I've checked and it is not a question of players having their off-day, as that wouldn't and shouldn't upset the batting order.

The lineup preview will show based on how you set your depth charts, so if you have guys set to "start every X games", then they will swap in, and the game by default will move guys around (since usually if your #3 hitter swaps out they want to put someone else in not batting 3rd).

The new update makes some changes to the new lineup created, so hopefully it's improved. You can also control it a little bit more if you use the "suggest lineup spot" in the player strategy, as then it will try to swap guys into that lineup spot.

My issue is not the depth chart. I tried changing to "never" for my bench and it still does the lineup like this. This happens every game I "play".

PS it never did this until a few weeks ago. And since that time it does it every single game. Was there some sort of update that messed with lineups?
