Suggestion: Offensive Strategy Patient/Aggressive

Users should be able to set an offensive strategy of either aggressive or patience.

A patient strategy should result in more pitches seen, more walks and more strike outs
An aggressive strategy should result in fewer pitches seen and more balls in play

This should be a general strategy, but also one that can be applied/changed to specific pitchers.

For example, a team might want to employ a patient strategy against an above average pitcher who has below average control. Trying to increase the pitch count and get the pitcher out of the game.

Or against a pitcher with great stuff and control but low movement, the offense might want to be more aggressive. Trying to hit mistakes and avoid getting behind in the count and striking out.

offensive strategy

I do like this idea. If you play out the game it is possible to swing/take, or steal/force steal. So on a more grand simulated scale, it would make sense to do this. However, I think if you simulated (like a whole game or season) it would stager the numbers to much. Like having 4 or 5 guys with 200 strikeouts. IDK jmo

1) 5 guys with 200 strike outs is plausible.
2) the effect would need to be tweaked so it wasn't too big or small
3) there should certainly be instances where certain players aren't a good match for a specific strategy.

Point 3 reminds me of something I forgot to post in the the OP
Like with, for example, stolen base strategies, there is a team strategy and a player strategy. A patient/aggressive strategy should be the same. With an overall team strategy, but with the ability to fine tune individual players
