Creating a new league

EVERY SINGLE TIME I create a league the way I want it, teams are always displaced and changed and deleted!! WHy is this? No teams have the same name or abbreviation, yet teams are moved to new divisions and the names are changed!? WHY!!!!!!!!!!

I have a problem similar to this every time I create a fictional league and change the team names. The CPU always changes one of the cities back to Kansas City. Once I change the name a 2nd time, it sticks.

There is a bug in the routine that creates a fictional league. I thought the developers were aware of this. Every team in the 2nd league is moved down one slot once "create league" is clicked from the initial setup screen. This will throw the last team from the 1st division into the 1st slot in the 2nd division, ect. The last team in the 2nd league will always be completely gone and the 1st team in the 2nd league will be a new random city.

This happens all the time. If you don't believe me, it's easy to check out. League 1 creates fine with no problems, league 2 is just shifted down one spot with a new team in the top spot. I'm sure it will be fixed soon, unless they just don't realize what is hapening.

It can be corrected once you get the league created very easily.

Yeah, I experience this as well, ...usually will put Kansas City or St. Louis 2nd League...

It doesn't seem to be connected to one particular league type...what I mean is I will see it no matter if it is a 2 League 1-10 team division..or 2 League 4-4 team divisions...it always will take at one team and put in Kansas City or St. Louis..One time I had two Kansas City teams in the same division..

You are right, as long as there are 2 leagues, one, two, three, or four divisions do not matter. Every team in league 2 is slid down one slot. The top team in league 2 is always something you did not choose.

When does the problem take place? I was aware of an issue but the initial post wasn't very clear.

It happens right after you press the button to create a Custom League.

When you are then taken to the Standings page, one team is incorrect.

Once you make all of the setup choices...and you proceed to the next step by pressing "Generate League", it moves to the sign coaches step.....at this point if you look at lg 2...you will notice one of the teams will be missing and replaced with..usually Kansas City...

So to answer your question Steve, in the processing of generating the league and players....not sure which...seems like while it is initially writing the league.dat...but I'm not sure...

Sorry I wasn't more clear with my question, I was just frusterated (sp?) and by the way, Bud loves my Avatar - it's what he sees every morning he looks in the mirror!
