backup causes rating changes

i uninstalled 19, only to say that i am not reinstalling to test this out, lol.

in '18, i'm noticing that each time i backup, it changes visible ratings, like a scouting report might. (same day, no other incremental advancements. -- i.e. backup... do some promotions, backup... see a change on same day not related to any of the promotions) i see it day of draft and jan 1st constantly, repeatedly.

if this is still happening in 19, it may be the cause of many forum threads that mention the development reports not matching profile ratings or whatever it is that they see that varies in same moment of time. i only was looking at potential, admittedly, but that's a calculated value, eh? so other tihngs have to change for it to change?

i am fairly sure this has been happening for more than just a few ootp releases, recently. i just never cared to look close enough to be 100% certain it was happening. this time i did. several potential ratings changed. before that, my peripheral would see things shift around while sorted by potential on "rosters and transactions" screen after any backup. the names would move around, i coudl see it. this time i watched ~5 names and several of the potentials definitely changed.

i don't know if it's a scouting thing or an incremental step. i've had 'feelings' that it's also causing real changes. if i do it more often, i seem to see more TCR changes in my minors. i have that at "25" instead of "100". on those particular dates, i may backup several times on the same day jan 1st/draft day. a greater frequency of TCR events seems to happen at these times too.... 'feelings', but did look under hood to see TCR and not just asthetic inaccuracy.

the ratings changing is not a feeling. definitely saw that occur. i think more than one thing can be affected by what's going on though?
