Draft speed

Hello,

I haven't seen this question addressed anywhere else, although I could be mistaken. If that's so, please forgive me.

But, when performing the off-season amatuer draft, does it take a ridiculously long time between picks? I just hit "Autodraft Until Human Team" and it takes no less than 3 minutes before I can pick again. Would deleting old box scores and junk speed it up?

I'm in year 2008, I have a Pentium4 with 384MB RAM.

What OS, whatelse is running in the background at the time?

I agree it is alot slower than last year and I have a much better computer this year ... I hope it because the computer is making better draft decisions

Do you have a virus scanner running? I have noticed that if I don't disable mine then this is one of the areas where you can notice a significant slow down even with a fast computer.

I have noticed it being slower this year, but nothing close to 3 minutes. It's been probably 30 second wait, if that.

I have noticed very little change in the draft speed from 4 to 5. The sim speed may be a little slower, but not the draft.

It has been much slower for me, too, with absolutely nothing running in the background. It doesn't bother me too much, though.

I've noticed this too, although it is more like a minute. Its faster if you just hit computer pick 29 times.

hi. I have Windows XP. Usually I have nothing running in the background. I keep the Virus Scan auto-update and that kinda stuff on. I'll make sure to close EVERYTHING down that I possibly can.

This has to be a system specific issue, I have no problems with it and I'm sure that my system is not nearly as fast as some folks on here.
