Starting pitchers getting pounded!!!
Why does it let a starter get pounded sometimes for 7-8-10 runs before taking him out. Most managers are not gonna let that happen. Is there a setting someplace for this. Thanks

There is a setting for that, under global strategy there is a slider called "hook starting pitcher". You can also set that separately for individual pitchers, or, if you want even more control, use a pitch count instead.

If it does not happen to all your starters, you may want to use the individual player strategy and use the hook slide. I noticed it was only happening to some of my starters on one of my teams.
If it happens across the board, the global strategy works well since it gives more control. Even if you pull it down all the way to red color (hook starting pitchers), your starters will still pitch long games (or complete games) and tend to get pulled once they start to give up ~4 ER in very few innings. I still see a few rare 6-8 ER before getting pulled but that is often a 4run game and then another HR with multiple batters scoring. |
