Anybody Up for an Original 36 League?

I see the game is on sale for $5, through the 11th. Anybody interested in trying to cobble together a league using only the original pack pulls? Thinking we could get a Friends List going and end up in Bronze together next week.

If there's interest, we could use the rest of the week figuring some parameters for allowed improvements, roster limits, etc. Just wonderin'.

On another note, how the hell does Bob Feller give up 5 homers in 18 IP on the heels of 6 in 191 IP?

How do you see it working, are you saying that no new players would ever be purchased beyond the original 36 players?

I just put it out there hoping for suggestions. My initial thoughts were to have limits on roster size (40?), locked down playoff rosters, or even, to be more radical, see if we could each pick a franchise and pledge to build a team with only those players.

Does't seem to have sparked much interest, so far.

The Original 36 would be for the first season only, while we exchanged ideas about structure and built a Friends List for Bronze.

This would take about zero skill since there would be very few decisions that could be made. Whoever got the best pulls would likely win.

I guess I haven't explained my idea well. Yes, the first week would be a bit of a crapshoot, but I thought that would be enough time to get some discussion going about how to structure the league and build up a Friends List for the move to Bronze. Teams would just bank their points and then begin the real building process in Bronze, according to the parameters the people on the Friends List had agreed upon.

It would require a week of patience, but I thought that, given the low price of the Lunar New Year sale, it might be fun to try with a second copy of the game.
