Monthly PT budget

It's February 1st...anyone else set themselves a monthly budget and blow it already? This game is too addicting...

I spent my 2019 through 2030 budget so far, and yes Chazzy it's really addicting. I'm trying to hold off spending anymore. For one thing, I would imagine auction prices will plummet when OOTP 20 comes out.

I've had bad luck with packs so this time just headed straight for the AH. I've never had a perfect card before...finally picked up my first two! Got Randy Johnson and Mookie for $50. In his first game Randy set my franchise record for strikeouts!

I figure spending at this point with ootp 20 so close is pointless. But to each his own

Maybe, they have said they will keep servers up for a year so there is plenty of time. Plus not everyone buys the new version right away and a lot wait until the first patch.

Now, it will be interesting if people buy a lot of PP at launch to try and get a great team right away or spend a $100 and just open 100 packs.

I'm setting aside $20 to buy 20 packs the first day and will see where that goes. I spend $20 going to a movie that lasts 2 hours so I can justify $20 on PT that will probably last longer than my marriage at this point.

Setting a budget is easy. Keeping it is a lot tougher!

I just love my team and want to see them win a perfect WS before starting over.

I have three teams. I started saying I wouldn't spend any $$ on PP. Then I did spend a little on my top team. So I maintained I would spend nothing on the other two and only spend a little on the top one now and then if I really NEEDED a player last-minute at the AH. Since then I've bought PP for the other two teams as well. Usually only the 5500PP if I'm close to getting that player anyway, so never a lot. But shows how I keep a budget.

So far I have kept to my budget of $0. It hasn't been easy, though...

George Sisler temptation finally got the best of me. I was half way there and had to lay out some money for the rest.

Sisler has been great for me. I bought him for 33k points a few seasons ago.

I set my budget to infinity.

Then the wife vetoed it and redirected the funds to a dinner out.
Who gave her veto power?

I could have built a pretty impressive team with tonight's dinner "budget"
