Take a look at this report and tell me which is the better season, 1921 or 1927?
http://www.geocities.com/dodgershhsl/82.htm I'm really in the middle, but kind of leaning towards the '21 season

I say 1921 because of the much higher OBP, and also scored more runs with fewer at-bats.

I'd go with 1921 as well but I can understand the reasoning behind 1927 as a better season.

I'll say 1921 and I actually can't see how anyone would say '27. The two things that stick out as significant differences are BA and OBP, and both were higher in '21. I guess 16 RBI could be considered significant, but RBI don't evaluate a player's performance.
I would also rate 1926 as higher than '27. Look at how many times he got on base! That's obscene. |
